Ben Uri is committed to working with the wider community. We do this in a number of ways including museum tours, outreach projects and lecture programmes.
'Art and Wellbeing' project
Ben Uri is thrilled and honoured to have launched a new and important 'Art and Wellbeing' initiative for residents of Nightingale House in South London and Hammerson House in North London. We are currently developing a number of artist-in-residence projects. If you would like to get involved please get in touch.
Programme of activities for Friends
Friends of Ben Uri enjoy a range of benefits including access to our educational and learning programmes for FREE. These learning programmes are always related to the visual arts and are open to all Friends of Ben Uri. Find out more about becoming a Friend of Ben Uri.
We call ourselves ‘The Art Museum for Everyone’ because our collection and work focuses on the universal themes of art, identity and migration.
We actively work with and engage audiences from every community – both young and old – in our exploration of contemporary issues through art and social history.
For instance, our major outreach project for schools, 'Art in the Open', is designed to bring some of the powerful works in the Ben Uri Collection, ‘out in the open’. We also offer learning programmes for adults and community-based projects. Find out more in Learning.
