Publisher: Ben Uri, 2005. Soft cover.
This catalogue accompanied the exhibition ‘Chagall and his Circle’, held at Ben Uri in the Summer 2005, which brought together a small group of works primarily from private collections and museums abroad that had not been seen in London before. These works take the spectator from Russia through Eastern Europe and to Paris, where the École de Paris flourished and was a huge influence on 20th century art. This compact and richly illustrated catalogue contains an introduction by Chagall biographer Monica Bohm-Duchen and reproductions of works by artists such as Marc Chagall, Emmanuel Mané-Katz, Moise Kisling, Jules Pascin, Béla Kádár, Chana Orloff, Alice Halicka and Reuven Rubin.
