Education at the Ben Uri Gallery
Bringing a class to the Ben Uri Gallery will be an enriching experience for pupils and teachers alike. As a small local gallery we are uniquely placed to offer a convenient visit and an exciting exhibition schedule. As we show a programme of temporary exhibitions our education work is constantly evolving and you can be sure that the resources are up to date and can be adapted to meet your needs. The size of the gallery means that pupils - especially those who are younger or not used to visiting galleries - will find the visit more accessible and less overwhelming than one to a much larger institution.
You can discover works of art that can enhance the curriculum not only in Art and Design but across a wide range of subjects as appropriate to individual exhibitions. A visit could also be used to widen perceptions and cultural awareness among your students by exploring the work, lives and contribution of British and European artist of Jewish descent within the national social and artistic contexts. It would increase the breadth of the experience of art that your pupils have.
